Barware for people who make drinks at home and want the kit to keep up.
Brasswell began the way a lot of good things do: out of frustration. A shaker that leaked down our sleeve. A jigger that tipped every time we set it down. Glasses so light they felt like they might blow away. We figured barware should be the easy part of making a drink, not the fight.
So we built our own. Weighted tins that seal with a firm tap and break with a light one. Hand-blown glassware with a thin rim and a low, steady stem. Solid-brass tools that patina instead of peeling. Everything is made to be picked up every night, not admired behind glass.
Three things, mostly. Weight, so tools sit steady and glasses feel like something. Balance, so a jigger pours clean and a spoon spins between your fingers. And the seal, because a shaker that leaks is just a mess with extra steps.
We work with a small group of glassblowers and metal shops rather than a giant factory, so we can hold the line on the details that matter. Nothing here is precious. It is meant to be used, washed, and reached for again tomorrow.
